2019年10月—2022年4月，通过调查在我国云南省昆明市、贵州省贵阳市以及江苏省紫荆种实，首次发现了种实害虫紫荆豆象Bruchidius siliquastri Delobel, 2007为中国新纪录种和紫荆豆象B. siliquastri的新寄主湖北紫荆Cercis glabra，发现紫荆豆象在云南省昆明市对中华紫荆C. chinensis Bunge的危害率为26.92%~94%，湖北紫荆C. glabra的危害率为11.11%；贵州省贵阳市对中华紫荆C. chinensis Bunge的危害率为36%~62%。

From October, 2019 to April, 2022, Bruchidius siliquastri Delobel, 2007 was first discovered in China by investigation of Bauhinia seeds in Kunming, Yunnan, Guiyang, Guizhou and Jiangsu. It was found that Cercis glabra is a new host of B. siliquari. It was found that the damage rate of C. chinensis in Kunming, Yunnan is 26.92% - 94%, and the damage rate of C. chinensis is 11.11% in Jiangsu Province, and the damage rate of C. chinensis is 36% - 62% in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.
