Butterflies are common flower-visiting insects. Studying the pollination features of butterflies is significant for figuring out the function of butterfly pollinator communities in nature ecosystem. In September 2019, the butterfly communities in 9 crucial ecological regions of the Pearl River Delta were investigated, while the pollinator features were researched. The results showed that, 74.19% species of butterflies could carry pollens, 49.63% could carry pollens from select quantity. The percentages of pollinator species and individual numbers of Papilionidae and Danaidae are higher than those in other families; the minimal percentages of pollinator existed in Hesperiinae in species and Satyridae in individual numbers. Whether pollen-carrying species and individual numbers, the percentages of the ventral sides of wings carrying pollens are both higher than other parts of butterfly’s body. The percentages of species and individual numbers of pollinator butterflies are significant differences on different places of a butterfly’s body of different families. |
