A Nomuraea rileyi strain Nr101 was isolated from dead larvae of Spodoptera litura. The pathogenicity of Nr101 to the 3rd instar larvae ofSpodoptera exigua under five different concentrations from 2.25×104 to 2.25×108 spores/mL was determined. The results indicated that the mortality rate of the 3rd instar larvae caused by N. rileyi Nr101 was 100%, 97.50%, 86.67%, 57.50% and 43.33%, respectively, under the concentration of 2.25×108, 2.25×107, 2.25×106, 2.25×105 and 2.25×104 spores/mL. The LT50 values of the 3rd instar larvae were 7.4165, 5.7384, 4.7908 and 4.3292 d, respectively, under different concentrations (2.25×106, 2.25×107, 2.25×108 spores/mL). At the 8th day, the LC50 of the larvae was 6.2180×104 spores/mL, which demonstrated it is a promising fungal insecticide. |
