This research selected 4 kinds of insects, Apis mellifera, Drosophila melanogaster, Culex quinquefasciatus and Bombyx mori to analyze the structures and CpG O/E value of juvenile hormone esterase (JHE) genes. First, the JHE genes were compared with their corresponding genomic sequences by using Spidey software online of NCBI to identify the 2000bp upstream sequence, exon and intron regions of these genes. The results showed that the JHE gene of Apis mellifera contained 7 exons and 6 introns, while the JHE genes of remaining three insects contained 6 exons and 5 introns. Then, analyzed the JHE gene regional share of CpG, G,C, CpG, and calculated CpG O/E values (the ratio between actual value and expected value of CpG locus ). The average values of CpG O/E in every area of JHE genes were found in the following order: gene upstream 2000bp > intron > exon, and the average value of CpG O/E in gene upstream area 2000bp was higher than 1, while the values in 1st-4th exon were 0.8 or so. This implied that if there were the CpG methylation sites in insect JHE genes, they should mainly happen in the 1st-4th exon regions. |
