      柞蚕Antheraea pernyi是我国的特色生物资源,具有显著经济价值。作为寄生蜂繁育的关键中间寄主,其在生物防治领域的应用潜力受到广泛关注。近年来,通过系统研究,突破了柞蚕规模化繁育寄生蜂的多项技术瓶颈,利用共寄生和多代驯化繁育等方法成功繁育出玉米螟赤眼蜂Trichogramma ostriniae和黏虫赤眼蜂Trichogramma leucaniae等优势蜂种,同时还筛选最优条件以提高寄生蜂对柞蚕的寄生效率,使其应用范围不断扩大。本文对近年来柞蚕(卵、幼虫和蛹)所繁育的蜂种、繁育技术以及其在农林害虫防治应用中所取得的新进展进行了论述。此外,还讨论了目前柞蚕在研究和应用上潜在的问题和挑战,以期在未来利用柞蚕工厂化繁育寄生蜂中发挥更为重要的作用。

      The Chinese oak silkworm (Antheraea pernyi Guérin-Méneville, COS) is a distinctive biological resource in China, renowned for its high economic value. As a key intermediate host for mass-rearing parasitoid wasps, COS has attracted significant attention for its exceptional potential in enhancing biological control programs. Recent advances have systematically addressed critical technical challenges in the mass production of parasitoid wasps using COS eggs. Innovative approaches, such as multiparasitism and multigenerational domestication, have now enabled the successful rearing of key parasitoid species, including Trichogramma ostriniae and Trichogramma leucaniae. Concurrently, optimized rearing conditions have been established to maximize the parasitic efficiency of wasps on COS eggs, facilitating a progressive expansion of their practical applications. This review synthesizes recent advances in: (1) parasitoid wasp species successfully reared using COS eggs, larvae and pupae, respectively, and (2) innovative mass-rearing techniques, and (3) their field applications in agricultural and forestry pest management systems. Furthermore, this review critically examines current challenges and limitations in both research and field applications, aiming to expand the significance of COS eggs for future industrialized mass production of parasitoid wasps.
